DSS Valves are Designed for Severe Service.
North America’s most reliable knife gate valve.
The DSS Severe Service Knife Gate Valve (SSKGV) is our premier valve. This design didn’t happen overnight though; our team of engineers spent decades improving and perfecting every last detail so that you can be confident it will do what you need it to. The bi-directional zero-leakage design exceeds API, ASME, and MSS specifications all the way up to ASME Class 1500/PN 250 (3750 psig/250 barg) – but we’ll go higher if you want us to.
The key differentiation to the Severe Service Knife Gate Valve is the Guided Shear Gate design. Composed of a shearing tip and internal gate guides, this design feature ensures our SSKGVs can cut through all media including solids, scale , fiber and paste.

Work. With no limitations.
North American made Severe Service Double Block and Bleed Valves.

Built to last in the harshest of conditions.
The DSS SSKGV was designed to take what was already great about your standard knife gate valve and make it even better. Over the decades our team has had the chance to analyze not only the design of these valves but the specific applications they are used in as well. From Mining to Pulp and Paper to Chemical Processing, we’re confident the DSS SSKGV will outshine its competitors in any severe service application.

Product Features
The DSS Severe Service Knife Gate Valve is designed to perform without fail in the harshest of conditions. With our customers in mind, we’ve carefully crafted this valve to overcome common problems like pipe turbulence, erosion, leakage to atmosphere, pipe stress, and topworks structure failures without compromising our promise of true isolation.

Actuation Options
Our Severe Service Knife Gate Valves are compatible with a wide range of actuation options.
We’re always happy to tailor the valve actuation to suit your needs. We’ll find you a solution, whether that means low profile arrangements, stem extensions or gear operators on pneumatic, hydraulic, electric or electro-hydraulic systems.
